Select a specific piece of work that you are creating for the Theater project—choose something that you are in charge of, something that you are leading, or something that is yours.

A specific piece of work that I have been doing throughout the play is being an actress in the class play that we have been working on. I know that other people have been working on this as well, but ever since we have been working on the mini sketches in class and practing our lines, I have been doing my own wrok at home. For example I have been practicing how to get some of my emotions to be real and so much fake. This will come in handy when the director puts me in a minor role, even though its a minor role I want to give my best and show that I have been practicing hard in the process of being a good actress in this play. In many of the sketches I didn't feel all that comfortable in the beginning, but as soon as I discovered that if I wanted to contribute to something important in the play, it began with practicing some of my acting skills. However, I have had some dificulties with my acting skills, I mean I have to admit that I'm not the best actress either, so in a way it's a struggle with every new role that I try to fit into. For example, I also have been trying to do some improv movements that will get me to know what I could use in my surroundings and work with them to my advantage. I like this strategy because I feel more comfortable acting out what the character is supposed to be in that moment. I would also like to use this in the play more often and try to always keep that in mind within the actors as well.
